Dr. John Wehr
Dr. Wehr's dedication to dentistry can be traced back to his roots. He is a second generation dentist, third generation doctor, and fourth generation Ann Arborite. A commitment to the local community is one of Dr. Wehr's core values.

Dr. Wehr graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Theater and Speech before joining the National Guard where he served in a combat support hospital. He returned to the University of Michigan to earn his D.D.S. In 1998, he moved into his current office, a former UAW hall that has been transformed into a state-of-the-art dental office.

Dr. Wehr is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Michigan Dental Association. He supports many local charities, including St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor Hospice, Food Gatherers, and Hope Clinic. One of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry for Dr. Wehr is donating his dental services to organizations like Give Back A Smile which provides dental care to victims of domestic violence.

Karen, Dental Assistant
Karen has worked for Dr. Wehr for more than 20 years, longer than anyone else! Many of you recognize her from her part-time job in the deli at Busch's. She has two daughters, Melissa and Kristen, and one grandson, Tristin. Karen is a movie-buff and avid sports fan. Hockey, football, Nascar and bowling are among her favorites. In her spare time, she loves to travel, visit lighthouses and play with her grandson.

Carolyn, RDH, BS
Carolyn has degrees in dental hygiene from Ferris State University and the University of Detroit. She resides in downtown Plymouth and is married to her best friend, Chuck, whom she met in kindergarten. She will tell you her greatest joy is her children. Currently Nathan and Laine are both students at Central Michigan University. Carolyn devotes her free time to family, scrapbooking and caring for her "vacant nest." A self proclaimed bibliophile, she also enjoys her book clubs.

Denise, RDH
Denise graduated from Ferris State with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with Dr. Wehr for 12+ years and is certified in Nitrous Oxide Sedation. She is married to Dr. Dave, an optometrist, and has two beautiful daughters. When she is not working here, she manages her husband's practice. Having recently become the proud owner of a new boat, she plans on spending a lot time in the water with her family.

Amanda, RDH
Amanda graduated from Mott Community College in Flint, MI with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She also has her certifications in Nitrous Oxide Sedation and Local Anesthesia. Amanda lives in Grand Blanc and is getting married in September, 2009. Amanda also works seasonally as a photographer. In the summer, you can find her camping and canoeing with friends. She also enjoys spending time with her seven neices and nephews. Her enjoyment of people and her advanced training make her a natural addition to our team.

Kara, Patient Coordinator
Kara began her career here in 1998 and has been involved in virtually all operational aspects of the office. She is an Ann Arbor native and a graduate of Indiana University. She is married with two adorable young blonds who love to swim and she enjoys walks with her family and her dog.

Melanie, Patient Coordinator
Melanie graduated from EMU with a degree in Dietetics. Lucky for us, she doesn't enjoy that type of work and continues to work here! In her spare time, she baby-sits, house/dog sits, sells stationery and invitations and basically anything else (legal) to earn a dollar. She enjoys spending time with her friends and niece, Tayler.
